Come along with the whole family for an afternoon of music and fun at the Gibsons Heritage Farm.
Hosted by the Sunshine Coast Grandmothers and Grand Others, the farm will be open Saturday May 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission by donation. There will be music for all ages, pizza and baked goodies. And lots to look at and explore around a real working farm.
Come to be entertained by Empty Streets (folk roots), John Thompson (old time jazz/blues), Graham Walkers and the Barn Cats (children) and the B.U.G.S. (ukulele singers).
Local members of the Grandmothers’ campaign will be on hand to tell you about the work we do to support Stephen Lewis Foundation’s work in sub-Saharan Africa. The dramatic cuts of aid and availability of life-saving medicines by the Trump administration risks undoing years of progress that has been made fighting the HIV epidemic. The African grandmothers are the backbones of these communities and we support them by raising money and telling their stories.
Bring your lawn chairs and your family; do join us rain or shine! Look forward to seeing you then!
